IFTA 2026, India’s only people’s choice film and television awards — voting open

Dhurandhar’s Shararat took 54.2% of 2,462 votes, and between 53% and 57% in every age group.

The result in four numbers.

More than everyone else combined

Nine tracks were on the ballot for Most Popular Dance Track at IFTA 2026. One of them took more votes than all the others combined.

Shararat (Dhurandhar) won with 1,334 of 2,462 verified votes, 54.2%. The runner-up, Panwadi (Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari), got 18.8%. The winner’s share was about three times the runner-up’s.

Dhurandhar had four tracks on the ballot, and together they took 63.4% of the vote.

All 9 nominees, ranked by verified votes.

Who decided it

Every IFTA vote is OTP-verified, one per WhatsApp number per category, and every voter’s age and gender is recorded at sign-up. So this is not a survey sample. It is the full count of who voted.

  • Women cast 1,968 of the 2,462 votes (80%). Shararat won 54.7% of women’s votes and 52.5% of men’s.
  • Voters under 25 cast 78% of all votes. The biggest single group was voters aged 18–24 (1,366 votes).
  • Women aged 25–34 were Shararat’s strongest group: 55.0% of their 238 votes went to Shararat.
  • 65% of Shararat’s votes came from women under 25 (872 of 1,334).

The striking thing is how even it was. Shararat got between 53.3% and 56.4% in every age group from 12 to 59 (the 60-plus group gave it 55.6%, from just 9 votes). It also won 54.7% of women and 52.5% of men. Few IFTA 2026 results were this even.

With 2,462 votes, this is one of the smaller IFTA 2026 categories, so read the smaller groups (such as voters over 45) with care.

Voters aged 18–24 were the biggest group, and women cast 80% of all votes.
Women under 25 gave Shararat 65% of its votes.

Same winner, different second choices

Below the winner, women preferred Panwadi (21.3%) and men preferred Laal Pari (12.6%).

  • Janaab-e-Aali: 3.0% of women’s votes, 8.3% of men’s, 2.7 times as popular with men.
  • Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka: 1.9% of women’s votes, 3.9% of men’s, about twice as popular with men.

Across IFTA 2026

This was one of five Bollywood categories won by Dhurandhar at IFTA 2026. Jasmine Sandlas, who sang Shararat, was second in Most Popular Female Playback Singer.

In the voters’ own words

Voters could add a reason with their vote. A few of them:

“When you listen the song, you automatically started dancing 🎶”

“Amzing dance stap”

“I love this song🤩🎵”

This is not a ratings chart or a critics’ list. It measures which audience turned up to vote, and how hard.
