A win built on young women
Thirteen nominees were on the ballot for Most Popular Performance in a Negative Role (OTT) at IFTA 2026.
Huma Qureshi (Delhi Crime Season 3) won with 227 of 1,110 verified votes, 20.5%. The runner-up, Mona Singh (Subedaar), got 12.5%. The gap was just 88 votes.
Delhi Crime Season 3 had two nominees here, Huma Qureshi and Sayani Gupta. Together they took 29.1% of the vote.

Who decided it
Every IFTA vote is OTP-verified, one per WhatsApp number per category, and every voter’s age and gender is recorded at sign-up. So this is not a survey sample. It is the full count of who voted.
- Women cast 856 of the 1,110 votes (77%). Huma Qureshi won 21.4% of women’s votes and 17.7% of men’s.
- Voters under 25 cast 75% of all votes. The biggest single group was voters aged 18–24 (610 votes).
- Women aged 18–24 were Huma Qureshi’s strongest group: 24.1% of their 478 votes went to Huma Qureshi.
- 70% of Huma Qureshi’s votes came from women under 25 (159 of 227).
It did not lead everywhere: voters aged 25–34 preferred Jaideep Ahlawat (23.6%) and voters aged 35–44 preferred Mona Singh (18.8%).
With 1,110 votes, this is one of the smaller IFTA 2026 categories, so read the smaller groups (such as voters over 45) with care.

Women and men picked different winners
Jaideep Ahlawat (The Family Man Season 3) was men’s first choice with 23.7%, but he got only 8.2% of women’s votes. Women cast 77% of all votes, so Huma Qureshi’s lead with women decided it.
- Aditya Rawal: 1.5% of women’s votes, 4.0% of men’s, 2.6 times as popular with men.
- Soha Ali Khan: 8.6% of women’s votes, 4.0% of men’s, 2.2 times as popular with women.
- Sayani Gupta: 9.6% of women’s votes, 4.8% of men’s, about twice as popular with women.
- Mohit Raina: 9.2% of women’s votes, 6.0% of men’s, 1.5 times as popular with women.

Across IFTA 2026
Huma Qureshi was also nominated for Most Popular OTT Actress in a Lead Role for Maharani Season 4, where she got 2.8% of the vote. Her negative-role turn was far more popular with voters.
In the voters’ own words
Voters could add a reason with their vote. A few of them:
“She was the best”
“Good role she played in this show”
“Jaideep ahlawat nice acting the family man season 3”
This is not a ratings chart or a critics’ list. It measures which audience turned up to vote, and how hard.
