IFTA 2026, India’s only people’s choice film and television awards — voting open

Women’s first choice was Ayesha Raza. Men gave Panchayat’s Sanvikaa one vote in four, and that settled a six-way race.

The result in four numbers.

Six actresses above 10%

Eleven actresses were on the ballot for Most Popular Actress in a Supporting Role (OTT) at IFTA 2026.

Sanvikaa (Panchayat Season 4) won with 213 of 1,190 verified votes, 17.9%. The runner-up, Ayesha Raza (Aap Jaisa Koi), got 15.8%. The gap was just 25 votes.

Six nominees got more than 10% of the vote, and the top two were only 25 votes apart. Panchayat Season 4 had two actresses on the ballot, Sanvikaa and Sunita Rajwar, who together took 30.8% of the vote.

Who decided it

Every IFTA vote is OTP-verified, one per WhatsApp number per category, and every voter’s age and gender is recorded at sign-up. So this is not a survey sample. It is the full count of who voted.

  • Women cast 899 of the 1,190 votes (76%). Sanvikaa won 15.7% of women’s votes and 25.0% of men’s.
  • Voters under 25 cast 71% of all votes. The biggest single group was voters aged 18–24 (603 votes).
  • Men aged 18–24 were Sanvikaa’s strongest group: 30.8% of their 130 votes went to Sanvikaa.
  • 54% of Sanvikaa’s votes came from women under 25 (116 of 213).

It did not lead everywhere: voters aged 35–44 preferred Garima Vikrant Singh (24.5%) and voters aged 45–59 preferred Garima Vikrant Singh (45.0%).

With 1,190 votes, this is one of the smaller IFTA 2026 categories, so read the smaller groups (such as voters over 45) with care.

Voters aged 18–24 were the biggest group, and women cast 76% of all votes.
Women under 25 gave Sanvikaa 54% of its votes.

Women and men picked different winners

Women’s first choice was Ayesha Raza (Aap Jaisa Koi) with 16.8%; Sanvikaa got 15.7% of women’s votes. Men were more united: 25.0% of them voted for Sanvikaa. With the race this close, that was enough.

  • Tillotama Shome: 4.1% of women’s votes, 1.4% of men’s, about three times as popular with women.
  • Zeenat Aman: 14.3% of women’s votes, 8.3% of men’s, 1.7 times as popular with women.

Across IFTA 2026

This was Panchayat Season 4’s only IFTA 2026 win, even though the show also had three nominees in Most Popular OTT Actor in a Supporting Role.

In the voters’ own words

Voters could add a reason with their vote. A few of them:

“The real behaviour of Sunita ji and her dedication towards acting her every role is truly commendable”

“Shweta Basu Prasad is best.”

“She is wonderful actor”

This is not a ratings chart or a critics’ list. It measures which audience turned up to vote, and how hard.
